Tiree Rocks!

The 3rd round of the Triple Crown was held on the island of Tiree and produced
awesome conditions - if a little varied. We arrived to cold South Easterlies
and sailed Crossapol which then switched round to North Easterlies for the "warm
up" for the competition. The picture taken above was during this warm up
session at Balavulin. My fellow Naish Uk Team Mate took the best freestyle move
of the day with a sick ponch during the expression session.
I had a small foot cut on my foot which got pretty bad after a few hours of
windsurfing!
Three rounds of competition were completed, a day of Starboard tack. One day of pretty windy port tack and a day of big waves at Balevulin. I managed to get a 12 place (loosing by 0.5 points to Ben Proffit) and two 9th places - again narrowly missing out on top 6 placings in close heats against Timo Mullen and Phil Horrocks. My overall result was =12 which wasn't too bad considering my ankle is not at 100%.
As always Tiree was a great event and Andy Groom and the triple
crown event crew put on a good one!
