Hybrid Freewave 85
@ Pagham
11/10/04
Today was a great day! I got to Pagham at 2pm after Dan Macaulay called me holding
the phone up to the wind and told me it was sunny and howling down there. He
was right and I arrived to a packed car park, sunshine and a good force 5 to
6. I rigged my 4.7 Boxer and pulled out my brand spanking new Hybrid Freewae
85 - which immediately attracted attention due tothe fact that it is 214cm long.
After a quick change and a call to my mate Rob Solly to give him the same weather
report Daniel had given me I hit the water and sailed for 3 hours straight -
loving every minute as my new board excelled in the cross onshore conditions
- helping me make unreal turns in what in reality was pretty small, slow and
mushy waves - but I had FUN! and that is what it is all about - having fun and
being happy :-)
Now I can't wait to get up to tiree later tis week for the final round of the
UKWA Triple Crown so that I can get the board out in hopefully epic tiree conditions.
